Walking the Wild: Backpacking for Women in Midlife & Beyond

LIVE GATHERING MAY 6 5:30PM MDT

You belong in the wilderness. What's holding you back? Let's chat about it.

If you’ve ever wished you could disappear in the wilderness for a few days to unplug from the world and reconnect with yourself, welcome! You're in the right place.

Hi there, I’m Jenny Golding, and I’m hosting a free live discussion about backpacking for women in midlife and beyond who’ve been dreaming of walking in wild places.

We'll have an honest conversation about the stories we tell ourselves that keep us out of the backcountry — what we're dreaming of, what's getting in the way, and how to start thinking differently. We'll chat about how to design your first itinerary, what to bring (without overwhelming your brain or your wallet), and how to figure out if stretching your comfort zone in the wilderness might be exactly what you need.

By signing up for this free online discussion, you agree that you'll also be subscribed to the Wilder Life email list. Your information is never shared, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

Jenny Golding in the backcountry

Hi! I'm Jenny Golding

I know what it's like to wake up one day and realize you've been so busy holding everything — and everyone — together that you've somehow lost track of yourself along the way.

For years, I poured my energy into caregiving, careers, and responsibilities…until I finally hit a point where I knew something had to change. So I did something that felt both wild and necessary: I headed into the wilderness. No roles to play. No to-do lists. Just me, the mountains, and space to breathe.

Backpacking became a way back to myself — and now I guide other women through their own inner and outer wilderness through transformational wilderness journeys, nature-based life coaching, and mindful photography. I write about slow living, creativity, and deep nature connection on Substack, and am founding editor and host of A Yellowstone Life, the online home for the Yellowstone-obsessed.
